Thanks to @ssmacd and @vicgoodwin for creating and maintaining the very useful Mahalo page How to Eat a Pomegranate which includes instructions and a video for how to remove the seeds from Pomegranates.
Pomegranates are one of the worlds top Superfoods because they are nutrtion packed and have great anti-aging properties due to the high concentration of antioxidants.

Step 2: Place a bowl on the table.
Step 3: Picking one of the quarters, pull back on the skin at the two ends. This should push out the seed area.
Step 4: Pick out the seeds in clumps, pushing them away from the yellowish internal dividing skins.
Step 5: Peel off any remnants of the internal skins from the seeds.
Step 6: Repeat steps 3-5 for the next three quarters.
Step 7: Enjoy eating the seeds.

Score the pomegranate with a paring knife. Don't cut it into segments, just score the "peel" or the thick outside of the pomegranate.
2)
Prepare a large ice cold bowl of water. Put ice in the water to chill it right down. This will help release the seeds from the rest of the fruit.
3)
Place the pomegranate in the bowl of water and begin to break it apart. You will notice that the seeds fall to the bottom very quickly while the rest of the fruit (the stuff you don't eat) will all float to the top.
4)
Pour the water and pomegranate through a strainer. Rise with cool water to release the small bits of rind still stuck on the seeds.

Optionally, if you're like me and like to use every last bit of everything you cook, you could strain the pomegranate water into another bowl and reserve. When reduced, this water forms a sweet stock or base of a salad dressing.
I found this video of someone who uses the same process:

NO MESS METHOD
Cut off the crown then cut the pomegranate into sections. Place the sections in a bowl of water then roll out the arils (juice sacs) discarding the peel and pith, leaving just the arils in the water. The water reduces staining and contains the peeling process. Strain the water through a strainer to catch the arils and proceed to use them as desired.

They're seeds, not berries ;)

no need to strugle with pealing and all the seeds and the mess, I use one of those hand held little manual orange juicers cut the pom in half and just juice it like you would an orange, no need to wrestle with the fruit you can just drink the juice, it can be kind of potent straight so sometimes I mix it with a little water or some other juice. My favorite thing to make is a pomegranate vinegrette with the juice, mix with olive oil and a little balsamic.

You really don't have to 'peel' a pomegranate. Large ones are the easiest. If you have a sturdy counter top, you can actually break it open by forcefully hitting it on the counter top. It will usually split open, giving you access to the seeds. If you feel better cutting it, it doesn't matter how you cut it. Just cut it in half or vertical you are only going to use the individual seeds anyway, so it doesn't matter how you open the fruit. I just use my fingers to dislodge the seeds; or you can twist the halves like you are squeezing an orange. Hope this helps.

The easiest way I have found was from Martha Stewart NO MESS METHOD
Cut off the crown then cut the pomegranate into sections. Place the sections in a bowl of water then roll out the arils (juice sacs) discarding the peel and pith, leaving just the arils in the water. The water reduces staining and contains the peeling process. Strain the water through a strainer to catch the arils and proceed to use them as desired.
