How much does a typical leaf of kale weigh?

Nutrition data for kale is only on a per-cup or per-gram basis. I want to know the nutrition data for one *leaf* of kale. How many grams does an average kale leaf weigh?

This question makes no sense. There are many varieties of kale. The leaves vary in size just as all vegetables do. If you want to measure nutritional value you have to measure the serving weight. Your question is like "How many calories are there in a melon?"

A typical medium melon is 552g. Some are more, some are less, of course, but that's the average. Every other kind of leafy green has a USDA entry for "one leaf" except kale. I only asked for an average answer.

In saying that a medium melon weighs 552 grams, you are assuming a particular kind of melon. It would not be true for a watermelon, for example, or some tiny variety. There are many kinds of kale, it is not a specific plant with a specific size.

I found one study that was evaluating the effect of herbicides on Kale.  They measured the effectiveness by looking at the drop in weight of a typical leaf.  The untreated control leaves look to be about 2.75 grams (its a bar graph-- with the weight falling in between 2.5 and 3 grams.)
