Oregano too strong for lasagne? - Any advice would be really helpful

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Use oregano sparingly for those people who may have more sensitive tastes. You can buy italian seasoning to put on the table for those who like more spices.

In recipes, I use about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of dried oregano.

On the other hand, you can use a lot of basil - I differ from carriep on that point. But fresh basil is better than dried.

Oregano is perfect for lasagna, not too strong at all. Goes awesome with tomato. Fresh or dried, you can put plenty in and it'll be fine. Basil, use some, but not a ton.

I use oregano when making the sauce. A small amount of dried oregano will go a long way.
