I feel it is my civic duty to speak up everywhere I can and say "VISTA is CRAZY". It is slow, full of nanny nags, printer driver problems (even with a brand new printer), quirks, burps and other nonsense. I am the only one in the office who has it, because it came on my new computer.

My vote is for XP, that it worked just fine (until my computer died)
Waiting for "Windows 7" to update.
Hopefully it will not ruin all of my other software that runs with the OS. Printer drivers are always an incompability pain!

In almost any respect it is outstanding - speed, power, ease of use, features, security. Yu can also run Windows if you need to.
Mark Shuttleworth holds it up as an example of what Linux should aspire to, and I think correctly.
Your question is a little unfair to Windows though, as Windows 7 is a significant improvement on Vista. I would still prefer Leopard (and Snow Leopard when it comes out), but 7 deserves to be in the poll.

Well... you need more information and something to stand on if your going to post something like this. If you just hate Vista, you can keep that to yourself, not trying to be offensive in any way, but this wasn't to much use as far as what was asked and expected.

I use Xp due to the fact the preformance is the most helpful and updated. Especially with the given features like the newest program version of Microsoft word (2007) and the way it's set up, very easy and accessible. If you need any further info on the Xp you might be able to find some stuff off these sites. http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Reviews/r5252.html

OS X and it's not close. I use it, Windows, and Linux on a daily basis, but I agree with PC Magazine in that Leopard "is by far the best operating system". http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,2207556,00.asp?sr=hotnews

Well if you ask me, I'd say go with XP. Because for me and a lot of other people as well I dont really like Vista. With XP, it runs faster, can hold more memory and ill paste a link about it too. But with Vista, yes there is a lot of extra things oyu can do with it, but, it makes your computer run a lot slower than XP. Also if your used to the Windows XP settup, then, I wouldnt get Vista, because the settup is a lot different, like where everything is, how ot looks, you get more question pop-ups saying do you really want to do this, and stuff like that. I know all of this because ive worked on a computer with vista before, kind of annoying when your trying to help someone out with their computer and u cant find have the stuff you need, when oyu know wxactly where it is on XP. Now most people who either dont use the computer much or start out with vista will say its good, but if you have spent most of your life with XP, well that whole settup anyway, then vista might be annoying. Also, one more thing, Vista has been known to mess up with games that you have played on Windows XP. Like either they dont work, or its messed up while your playing. For more information go here:
