How do you play Foddy Athletics?

http://www.foddy.net/Athletics.html <p>I can't figure this game out for the life of me..is there a trick to playing it?  Do you have to hit the keys in a certain order to run well?  Help me here, it's driving me crazy

OK, so after about 10 minutes of falling on my face, I think I came up with a little trick to get him to move forward:

1. Press W a couple of times to get him on his back knee
2. Press P once or twice to get his front leg stretched straight out in front of him
3. Slowly alternate between W and Q to get him to scoot along the ground.

That's the best strategy I could figure out. Very frustrating game though.

Here's a couple YouTube videos. Seems like the guys playing are doing pretty well (or something). The first guy actually makes him run. 
I'd watch the buttons they press to get some ideas of how they doit.
