Why is my Skype history different on different computers and is there a way to have all calls show up in the history of each computer?

I use Skype on at least 3 different computers. Each computer only shows the history for the calls I have made on that particular computer. I assume that the history is stored on the computer or that it is associated with a particular IP address. Is there a way to have all calls made show up in the history regardless of what computer the calls were made from and regardless of what computer I am logged in to?

The history files skype uses are stored in ApplicationData\Skype\ (where is your Skype alias...if you can't find this folder be sure to have hidden folders viewable, and then search for a folder named "Skype")

The history files have an extension of .dbb. You would have to copy the files from all the computers to some sort of removable media, and then copy all the files to each machine. I am assuming that these machines are not all networked together.

Good Answer

I have a random suggestion. There is a program called dropbox found here:

http://www.getdropbox.com/

It will sync a single follder across multiple computers automatically of size up to 2 GB. So if this is really important you could install dropbox on all the computers and put your skype folder in the dropbox folder. This would automatically sync skype across all of your computers.

However I don't really recommend this because dropbox uses some memory, so it slows your computers down a little. But its just an idea to consider.
