Comcast offers a premium service level which will get you higher priority and more bandwidth, but it isn't cheap. What they offer will depend on you address, so I can't guess as to what they might have at your home.

If it is at all possible, FIOS is the fastest home internet connection you can get... but not everyone can get it. Where I am, I can't get FIOS, but people 1/4 mile down the road can - my bet is that some people in your region can get it and others cant.

Lastly, if you want a more consistent 'net connection moreso than speed, and don't mind paying for it, look up a high speed DSL connection. Note that the high speed ADSL connections offer relatively poor upload speed - it's more than enough for games, the download speed is as good as cable, but you really, really pay for it. Sorry I can't give precise recommendations, but in the world of broadband, you're very affected by exactly where you live.
