I've never seen this problem on Facebook before, but I'm not surprised because Facebook can be a little buggy at times.
First I would suggest logging out, refreshing your browser cache and restarting your browser in case it's something locally cached on your machine (slight chance).
Second, it might take a couple of days for them to rerun the web of friends you have. I think it's in real time, but some functions on Facebook might occur nightly, etc.
Finally, you should check out the unofficial support forum at GetSatisfaction: http://getsatisfaction.com/facebook

I am not sure if this will work, but I think that it is certainly worth a try.

How to you RE-friend someone on Facebook? Having trouble.
I accidentally de-friended a couple of friends on Facebook. I'm trying to add them back, but now we can't even "see" each other. They are NOT listed under "blocked profiles" on my settings/profile page.

• We still haven't solved the problem, but I think it's because we have our security settings set to "obliterate". We probably just need to drop our shields long enough to see each other and then we can re-add.
Thanks everyone.

Have you tried the 'Invite Friends' function under the Friends tab? If you use the email that they associate with their Facebook account, they should be able to just click on the response to confirm. I am not sure if this will work, but I think that it is certainly worth a try.

When you say you can't see each other's accounts, I am assuming you mean when you can't click on their name to go to their profile? If so, this probably means they have serious "privacy" measures taken. You can make it where no one can see your name, picture, and no one can search for you or add you unless you add them. I've seen profile's like that before. So, that could be what's causing you from being unable to add them back. Do you have any mutual friends with this person? If so, you can message them and tell them to tell this person to re-add you.

I think this may be a bug that FB needs to fix.
