Make sure you're forwarding the ports that belong to the local IP address of the Xbox. If you know how to put the Xbox in a DMZ, you should know how to do that.

All you have to do is run the firmware upgrade utility on the original linksys firmware and upload this firmware.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/v24/Broadcom/Linksys/WRT350N/dd-wrt.v24_mini_wrt350n.bin
By default the DD-WRT v24 firmware disables UPnP.
To Enable UPnP on DD-WRT v24:
NAT / QoS > UPnP > UPnP Service: Enabled
You can also do other tweaks such as boosting the wireless signal and using QoS to prioritize the traffic.
It is well worth the upgrade, the stock linksys firmware is terrible.

How do I fix Linksys WRT350N router to fully support XBox Live without use of DMZ
Right now on XBox live test says that I have "Moderate" NAT and I need "Open" NAT for proper connectivity. Yet, router doesn't have Open NAT setting that I can see.
I am running latest Firmware from Linksys and I prefer not to go to DD-WRT or any 3rd party, since it may not fully support the USB drive that comes with router.

According to Microsoft, opening the following ports is all you need to do: TCP 80
UDP 88
UDP 3074
TCP 3074
UDP 53
TCP 53

Oh, do I despise UPnP. It's so much less of a headache to just do it all manually. At least you'll always know what's forwarded when you do it yourself, and if the forwarding's done in advance instead of on-demand, it tends to cause fewer problems with dumb(er) applications.

I would strongly suggest following the steps outlined in the source I have below. If you follow the steps that Microsoft suggest you are opening up several ports on your system which leaves you vulnerable to malicious attacks.

what clarusvisum said. the xbox will still complain that it wants "Open NAT" but everything will work as it should. This was poor interface design on microsoft's part. (or an attempt to lower their support costs at the expense of your network's security.)

I would recommend installing DD-WRT onto the router, its a third-party firmware and works perfectly with xbox live. I have the WRT350N as well and I noticed a signal strength improvement and overall throughput as well on my home network. All you have to do is run the firmware upgrade utility on the original linksys firmware and upload this firmware.
