One of your favorite TV shows is on the verge of being canceled. Do you try to get everyone you know to watch?

*cough* Why aren't you watching Dollhouse?! It's too late! *cough*
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yes, I have tried in the past to get friends to watch the soon-to-be-cancelled shows that I like, but that usually doesn't seem to work.

I have also written in various "comments" and in e-mails directly to the networks, but usually that doesn't work, either.

But I think sometimes it actually does because we will occasionally see a show return and the comment made that the followers wrote in protest and in enough numbers for them to rethink their cancellation. Sometimes even then the network doesn't give the show much time to regain their watchers before they cancel again.

The three main networks seem to be the worst at cancelling a new show even after just a few episodes, which isn't fair. One that seems to give a show more of a chance is USA, and I have some favorites there. For instance, I am glad to see that the new WHITE COLLAR will be back for "the second half of its first season in January and has been renewed" as that was very enjoyable.

I feel the same about CASTLE as it has continued to be renewed, thank goodness. The combination of mystery, humor, sex appeal, and including the mother and daughter in side stories, etc. makes it an exceptional show. And I am in the middle of reading HEAT WAVE, the book supposedly written by Richard Castle as mentioned in the show!! A good read.

when CBS's Jericho was cancelled the fans rallied together and actually cause the show to be brought back for another season -but then it was cancelled after that anyhow....

so you can do stuff, if you really want to.
