On the palm of my left hand there is an infection which is spreading. The area shows small boils under the skin with transparent liquid.

A few weeks back it appeared like a small cut, and I ignored it. Slowly it started spreading. Today it is about the size of a quarter, with the area looking more pink than the rest of the palm. I pierced a few boils but new boils kept forming at the edge of the infection. I tried to treat the infection with apple cider vinegar to no avail.

What kind of infection is that and what I should do?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There is only one thing to do: Go see the doctor. The boils are obviously contagious, as they spread after piercing them. Just applying apple cider vinegar is not enough, you should seek a professional and adequate solution.

Yeah, definitely go to the doctor. I know a few people that have had MRSA and that could be very dangerous.

Thanks a lot guys.

I saw my doctor yesterday. According to the doctor it is a kind of eczema.
He gave me a cream to apply on the affected area :Ratio-Ectosone CRM 0.1%, Betamethasone VAL 0.1%. And I have already started feeling better.

Thanks a lot again.

Go to the doctor!

While we Mahalo users tend to do good research, I don't think that anyone here is a doctor.

I do know, however, that some infections can spread and can even be fatal. I don't mean to scare you, but you should get to the doctor and get that checked out as soon as you can.
