On the iPad in iTunes is there any way to subscribe to a podcast or can you just preview them?

Strangely, you can't subscribe to podcasts directly from your iPad. You need to go to iTunes, and subscribe there. Then, if you synchronize your iPad with iTunes, the subscription becomes active. It is a bit of a roundabout method of working, but this way, it works.
