The reason behind this: It will cause misunderstanding since voting is visible and also selecting a best answer will be difficult if you cancel the vote afterward.
Why: Why do you want to cancel the vote. Before selecting a best answer the voter should check each answer before concluding which one is the best. Otherwise one should not vote.
