And I have also noticed something interesting, in the past for anonymous questions it used to say "The asker of this question selected no best answer". It now says
"No best answer was selected for this question"

I think it’s not all solved yet but at least it’s solvable now :-)
We still need a way to know which old questions have their 1st answers and then go and vote, especially on anonymous questions.
I would prefer we can have a special section in “spy”, otherwise we still need the inefficient “put in blog or dummy question” method.
Looking at “spy-Answers” and “spy-reminder” are inefficient too.
The bottom line is that now it is almost as safe to answer an old unanswered question as it is to answer a new one. Both are still subject to auto-NBA if nobody votes on the answers, but at least there is a 5 day period for votes (and more answers) to come in. I say only "almost as safe" since there is a somewhat lower chance of the asker still caring enough to select BA/NBA, and this assumes (I don't know if this is in fact the case) that Mahalo gives the asker a renewed chance to select BA/NBA from the posting of the first answer.

Your question even contains a link (posted by @buddawiggi) to a similar question @wy had asked a couple of days previously.
I myself had also made mention of the situation when answering @kaipowell's "announcement question" just a few hours after the introduction of the new system.

It has the old language. And, yes, the new language is slightly better. But - as you said - it STILL is only solvABLE and not solvED.

wy, I think I can give opher partial credit for a great set of suggestions for righting the wrongs prospectively and retroactively. I'm pretty sure it was he who suggested either having Mahalo staff locate them and select an answer or re-open it, or to farm them out to upper-belt Mahalo members.

Obviously, there are tons more where those came from, and more are happening each hour. The old ones need to be fixed and future injustices need to be prevented.

It seems to me a bug for the san antonia question..
It may mean single stage voting doesn't work for all or for some cases (?).

Interestingly, though the language has been changed on the Mahalo pages, Thomas, the old language still appears in the Google results. (I had searched: "no best answer" doubleminaz site:www.mahalo.com)
