Okay, got a question, according to young world creationists, what happened to the dinosaurs?

M$There are many theories on how the dinosaurs together with the other old animals disappeared on earth. One popular theory is when an asteroid struck Earth long long time ago.
Quote from wikipedia:
The asteroid collision theory, which was brought to wide attention in 1980 by Walter Alvarez and colleagues, links the extinction event at the end of the Cretaceous period to a bolide impact approximately 65.5 million years ago. Alvarez et al. proposed that a sudden increase in iridium levels, recorded around the world in the period's rock stratum, was direct evidence of the impact.117 The bulk of the evidence now suggests that a 5 to 15 kilometer (3 to 9 mi) wide bolide hit in the vicinity of the Yucatán Peninsula, creating the 170 kilometers (110 mi) wide Chicxulub Crater and triggering the mass extinction.118 Scientists are not certain whether dinosaurs were thriving or declining before the impact event. Some scientists propose that the meteorite caused a long and unnatural drop in Earth's atmospheric temperature, while others claim that it would have instead created an unusual heat wave. --
Another reason is the Decan Traps. The Deccan Traps may have caused extinction of animals through the release of dust and sulfuric aerosols into the air. This could block sunlight, reducing photosynthesis in plants. The Deccan Traps may have caused carbon dioxide emissions as well that could increase greenhouse effect.
Failure to adapt to continuous change in environment slowly caused their extinction as well.
These are just some of the reasons why Dinosaurs didn't make it to our present time.

M$"After the Flood, around 4,300 years ago, the remnant of the land animals, including dinosaurs, came off the Ark and lived in the present world, along with people. Because of sin, the judgments of the Curse and the Flood have greatly changed earth. Post-Flood climatic change, lack of food, disease, and man’s activities caused many types of animals to become extinct. The dinosaurs, like many other creatures, died out."

My understanding of how carbon dating works is to take an object and calculate how much carbon 14 is left in the object. This presumes that how much is left tells us how old the object is based on the half life of carbon 14.
A creationist might use the same theory but in reverse. If carbon 14 was created at the same time as the rocks themselves, how long would it take to "absorb" that much carbon 14 from surrounding sources then calculate the half life based on that. If I was a scientist or a mathematician I could have written this paragraph better. :)
The pre flood humans were upwards of 15 feet tall (according to some fossils and tar pit excavations) so in comparison dinosaurs weren't so intimidating.
It's also interesting to relate the gods of various mythos to regular people who are identified in scripture as the "first/best at" different things like music, the hunt, etc. I'm sure that generations down from those people, those who lost sight of God would find it easier to turn to the stories of such heroes and elevate them to godhood.
http://www.fairrosa.info/dragon/bible.html has all references to dragons in the bible. For instance Deuteronomy 32:33
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom,
and of the fields of Gomorrah:
their grapes are grapes of gall,
their clusters are bitter:
33 their wine is the poison of dragons,
and the cruel venom of asps.
And yes, this means they should co-exist. They should even have been present on the Ark (according to some creationists).
But don't shoot the messenger, I'm not religious at all myself...
I've always wondered about this too and I remember asking my pastor in youth group and I didn't get a very good answer... does that mean dinosaurs and humans co existed?
And do you have a bible reference where "dragons" are referenced? I always thought it was something else...
