What is the one word you constantly spell wrong even though you know the correct spelling?

Mine is restaurant. It never fails, I am constantly spelling it restuarant.

My friend spells recipe, reciepe all the time. We are constantly laughing over it!

I try to throw an "a" into definitely every time, as in "definately" despite knowing it's wrong.

yikes, that's another one of mine too - and now I'm thinking maybe we (lesliec) were separated at birth...(but I'm not actually going to confirm my birthday)

I transpose the "ie" in friend and freind all the time - how is it spelled again...ok I think it is friend, right?

I can't seem to remember how to spell separate. For me, it's always "seperate".

I have separation issues.

Since I type a lot about sports stuff, I tend to type agnet rather than agent. What makes it worse is that somehow my spell checker got set that agnet is a allowed word and I can't figure out how to switch it back.

Ah that would have to be 'survailance' as opposed to surveillance. Oddly enough, I end up typing that word at least 3 times a week. Glad firefox underlines that in red.

How is it that it seems - so far - that females are responding to this question. I thought that (ok please don't anyone get offended here) the y chromosome clan was supposed to have more issues with language skills...

I always spell "wrong" "w-r-o-n-g" even though I know the correct spelling is "w-r-o-n-g"

Mine is April. Even though I know I am likely to get it wrong, I too often make the mistake anyway. I spell it "Arpil" whether typing or hand writing and have to correct. Whew, am I glad this month is almost over!

"The"... My too-fast fingers continue to hit the "h" first getting "hte" or "hthe". And, being a common word... makes it more of a problem.
