On a recent TWIF Sarah Lane said she has never been to a Walmart. Have you never been to a Walmart? Why not? Do you believe her?

I believe her because she lives in San Francisco. You need to go to Oakland to visit the nearest Walmart. It's a very big pain for people who don't have a car, which I suspect Ms. Lane does not because she lives in SF, most people don't own cars and use public transport in the city.

I just don't think she's ever had the need to go out to Oakland, and practically make a day of it, to just visit a Walmart. Because even with a car, it still takes at least an hour to get to that Walmart.

I believe her. I live in NYC. I have only been to Walmart once. It was about 8 years ago with I was visiting relatives. It is all in the geography. Of course, it could be an ethics thing. Many people do not want to shop at Walmart because of their employment policies/anti-union stance.

In the US South, Wal-Marts seem to be every 9 or so miles, at least in my experience, so I've always had one within 10 minutes driving distance. I find it difficult to believe that she has never been there in their travels. I was in KOREA and there were Wal-Marts.

I guess I do believe her. I just wish I never visited a Wal-mart. I hate everything the corporation stands for. I can't believe they are one of the biggest profit machines in the US, yet they contribute or donate the least amount to the community!

I live in Denmark, and have only been to America twice, both times I visited Wallmart. This would lead to believe that 99,9% percent of Americans have been there.
So I don't believe her.

I can believe her!

People like Paris Hilton will never have to go to Wal-mart and will always ask “Wal-mart… do they like make walls there?”

Because few rich people think "Only poor go to the Wal-mart" and few people don't go there as a protest, like these:

Irony is, you can buy Paris Hilton at Wal-mart!

If you hate Wal-mart, where are you shopping? How can you be sure, that those shops are different from Wal-mart? Business is always for profit, Right? If you hate Wal-mart, you should hate all big oil companies. So from whom do you buy gas?
