Do you floss?
answers (8)
I brush well with both manual and electric toothbrushes and just don't have the patience to floss. The day my dentist isn't happy with the cleanliness of my teeth I guess I will force myself to start, but at this point I just don't see the need.
I understand the importance of clean and healthy teeth, but they only need to last me 100 years not forever.

Ha, that's a good way to look at it. You could use a mouth wash such as Listerine, which gets in between your teeth which helps. It's better than no flossing at all.

Everyday. It's very important. I'm a little obsessive about my teeth actually. I brush, floss, and mouthwash every day - three times a day!
I could truthfully answer "yes", but it'd be more accurate to add "I floss for about a month or so before a dentist appointment so he won't yell at me, and then a couple weeks after because I tell myself I'm really gonna get into the habit this time", and then I just never seem to keep it going.
Kinda like resolving each New Year to get in shape and eat better. Sure you'll do it for a few weeks, maybe you'll even start ahead of time because you know it's coming...but by April you won't be alone in leaving that new gym membership gathering dust. That's why all the gyms offer the big "3 months free...if you pay in advance for a year or more" specials :).
Now, having posted this, I will feel guilty and start flossing again. This time for sure! ;)

Absolutely - every day!
Not very often, I am ashamed to admit. I blame UK dentists. Even in the early eighties dentists in the UK felt that the jury was still out on the benefits of flossing as they thought that people might make their gums bleed by flossing. I am sure that by now they all do strongly recommend flossing!
So basically I'm blaming my childhood for my laziness. Maybe I should set up a daily email reminder: "Remember to floss!"

Got a fancy electric toothbrush, and I use mouthwash. But dont really like flossing, unless its the small hookones with the floss in it already
I try to floss every day. I have actually become kind of addicted to it lately. There is just something nice about the feeling of having no food or debris caught between my teeth that gives my mouth a clean feeling. Add to that a little mouthwash to wash away what the floss got out and you have one nice smile!
