Stephen Colbert convinces openly gay Congressman Jared Polis to do a beer bong in an interview. Was this good or bad for Polis' image?

Polis comes across pretty well in this interview. The problem with Colbert is that he is so ridiculous and politicians are so worried about their actions that they often just look stiff next to him. In this case, Polis plays along, gives it back to Colbert a bit and doesn't make a total idiot of himself (he even seems likable). Mission accomplished.

Probably no affect. Have a look at what Colbert did to Lynn Westmoreland from GA.

That video aired Sept 5. 2008. In Nov 2008 he was re-elected with roughly 66% of the vote.

Ehh... I don't really care that much. It is, after all, Colbert. The reason it matters that I don't care is that he is from MY district. It is Boulder, so they won't care either.
