Reminds of the cliche "Get off my lawn!".
It's kind of a hazard of the news / ENG business though. You never know how people will react, especially in domestic situations.
The grandmother was within her rights to tell the news crew that she wanted them to leave and say nothing further. If the news crew refused to leave, call the police, tell the dispatcher that the news crew was requested to leave and that you have nothing to say to them. Once you put the ball into the law enforcement department's court - they have to act as your call is a matter of public record.
With the reaction of the grandmother recorded the way it was, she runs the rest of being sued by the camera operator she hit, or by the news station whose camera was hit / damaged as they have video evidence of a battery / damage to property.

I think in this case, either both parties are guilty, or both apologize and move one. The woman could be charged with assault and the newsteam with trespassing or invasion of privacy for example. This is an example of something we can all learn from. To try and see things from both sides and not just see from our eyes, but rather look at things through both sides.
Most likely, the two parties just go on with their lives and hopefully learn not to invade privacies and not to attack with hoes.
Thanks

The perils that some people face to make a living is it really worth it? This woman should be arrested forthwith. There is no excuse for her to attack the camera man so viciously, she could have seriously injured or worst killed him. What would have happened if she owned a gun? Although she assaulted the camera man and can be charged for the offense. I think the news crew should have asked the lady if she would allow them to video tape the interview. To me the bigger problem is the Rose Mary. If the 15 year old was kicked out of school why didn't the school notify the parent or guardian? And if the school did notify the parent or guardian and they knew this(the girl was kicked out of school), would this be negligence on the parent or guardian for not providing proper supervision for the teen? Also the club attorney stated that the girls where able to work because they miss represented their age and provided false identification!!!! If that is the case did the club conduct any checks to verify that the girls where of legal age? The grandmother was wrong for attacking the cameraman. If the school did not notify the parent or guardian it should be punished just like the parent or guardian who new the child was kicked out of school and did not provide the proper supervision. And how hard would it be for a club to verify the age of the girls? They also should either be fined or their license should be taken away. Most of all i think the those two girls should get counseling. 15 years old and stripping wow what an unhoeful experience. wouldn't you agree?

I think this is a toss up. I completely understand both viewpoints. The news crew should have not filmed her without her permission, but that does not excuse the woman attacking someone with a hoe. That could really damage someone. I think in this case, either both parties are guilty, or both apologize and move one. The woman could be charged with assault and the newsteam with trespassing or invasion of privacy for example. This is an example of something we can all learn from.
