This is out of hand. It is not art or any form of it I have ever seen in my 50 years here on this planet. He dresses like a cartoon character and tries to sell candy that resembles one of the worst drugs this nation have ever seen. Where is the art? This is a extremely poor attempt at ridicule. Even though I am not sure what he is trying to ridicule. As far as I know, if he would make any gesture that the candy he is selling is crack cocaine, there are laws against fake drug sales and welcome to jail fish head. Lets see how many people there want a bouncy ride or maybe want to give him one. He is pathetic and my opinion is he needs to be checked for mental problems. I do not consider this art or a behavioral problem, it is a mental condition. How many parents would take there children to see bouncy the candy crack selling dolphin? ( My personal opinion )

Penguins should be respected.

It's not a safety issue (presumably the police would stop him) and I don't think anyone's attitudes or perceptions would change for the worse. What else is there?

Candy Crack Delivery: Performance art or irresponsible behavior?
Meet Nate Hill. He dresses in a tuxedo with a dolphin head and sells sugar candy that resembles crack on the streets of Brooklyn.
While there are no drugs involved and Hill is a performance artist, is this act art or does it cross the line?

That's hard to say because, really, everyone knows about crack so it's not like he's showing off something that nobody knows about. However, my mind goes back to those candy cigarettes they used to sell when I was a kid. Do they even sell those anymore? I hope not. After I grew up I wondered how whoever manufactured them could sleep at night.

Yes they do. You can buy them at the old convenience store just down the street from me.

What a shame. I used to have a friend who loved those candy cigarettes. They tasted horrible, so realy the only reason to buy some was to run around with a pack in your pocket and one hanging out of your mouth so you can be like a grownup. She did this a lot and, yes, grew up to be a smoker.
I mean, really, who came up with that idea anyway?

Why a penguin? Penguins are not criminals! Why are penguins stereotyped as criminals? It should be stopped! Feathers McGraw was an exception, not the rule. Penguins should be respected.

I don't understand why this is supposedly irresponsible. He's wearing a tuxedo/penguin costume and selling rock candy on the streets of New York City. Even if it wasn't performance art I wouldn't see anything wrong with it. It's not a safety issue (presumably the police would stop him) and I don't think anyone's attitudes or perceptions would change for the worse. What else is there?
