Off to Venice on Thursday, any recommendations tweeters?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Make sure to take the number 1 Vaporetto (boat bus) that follows down the Grand Canal, it stops often which is great for siteseeing.

If you plan to see museums, I recommend buying a block of musuem passes from the tourist information which works out cheaper & are valid for 6 months.

Burano is an island close to Venice that is famous for glass-making. You can go on tours of the glass-making factories, and it's pretty unbelievable. Each place also has a shop, and even just checking out the shops is totally worth it.

The Piazza San Marco and the accompanying Basilica and tower are must-sees as well, but you probably already knew that!
