I think it's a very complicated issue that in reality, only a few understand.
For those who don't completely understand it, their perception is based on what they hear, see, and experience.
There are two sides to the stimulus package. Some of the folks who don't completely understand what's going on will agree, some will disagree.
While I'm trying to understand what's going on in the economy, I know that I really don't.
It's a scary time when I need to almost completely place my trust in the people that I've helped to elect. Personally, I hope that the people in power completely understand the problem and will take the time to teach me what's going on.

People do not realize how important it is to have this stimulus in order to prevent a depression. A broken economy is a vicious cycle of people not spending, business' cutting back, less jobs, and the beat goes on...

Why would anyone want to sign the No Stimulus petition?
With so many people out of work and the nation at the edge of a financial cliff, it seems ridiculous that anyone would be against this stimulus package (in any form).

Well let's face it, it's a TON of money! 1 trillion dollars that will eventually have to be paid back by us, the taxpayers; so people are justifiably concerned. People do not realize how important it is to have this stimulus in order to prevent a depression. The markets crashed because people were able to spend money they didn't have for an extended period of time. The solution is probably not the government spending a lot of money that it does not have.
