Honestly, I'm not sure at the moment any politician can do an effective job at anything. They need to appoint a normal joe who has real problems and real solutions to fix things, rather then politicians who work in self interest. Probably not the answer you were looking for, just a bit worried about the state of things and have lost a lot of respect for many politicians.
