Obama Administration dropped charges against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation after they were convicted...
In 2008, at the polling places in Philadelphia, New Black Panther members, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were filmed intimidating voters as they entered the polling places to vote. The Bush Justice Department filed a civil lawsuit against the men charging them with violating the Voter Rights Act by using ''"coercion, threats, and intimidation"''.http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/30/justice-dept-lawyer-accuses-holder-dropping-new-black-panther-case-political/>ref>
Shabazz was shown holding a billy-club and the men called whites going in to vote, "white devils", and shouting , ''"you're about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."''http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i6PlcZeiW_Nucd6_I72lQV6BEi4QD9GMHAS82
The men ignored the lawsuit and never appeared in court, which constitutes a guilty plea. The penalties had not been handed down before the Obama Justice Department, headed by Eric Holder dropped most of the charges. The only penalty handed out was to Samir Shabazz. He is not allowed to ''"display a weapon within 100 feet of any Philadelphia polling place through 2012."''http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5i6PlcZeiW_Nucd6_I72lQV6BEi4QD9GMHAS82. His sentence will run out prior to the 2012 elections.
Former Justice Department Lawyer, J. Christian Adams resigned after the charges were dropped and is now bringing the case to public attention. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Adams said that the lawyers were instructed not to bring "''any more cases against racial minorities under the Voting Section."''http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/30/justice-dept-lawyer-accuses-holder-dropping-new-black-panther-case-political/

While I do not yet have all the details, it seems obvious that the Black Panthers, the Justice Department, and the Obama administration have all acted stupidly in this matter. There is a long history of injustice in this nation. People have been denied justice based on issues other than the facts of the case, and this seems to be, obviously, another example of just such a miscarriage of justice. Let me be clear however, as I have stated in the past, almost anything can be solved by sitting down for a beer in the Rose Garden.
If this had been the KKK, or better yet a couple of Tea Party patriots, they would not see the light of day until their sentences were completely served. And we would likely be reminded of their actions on a daily basis by our unbiased news sources.
Do not look for "justice for all" from this administration, you will be sorely disappointed.
Perhaps folks who are being threatened and intimidated by Black Panthers at the polling places of America can expect the Administration to put up a sign warning of a dangerous area, similar to signs posted by the Feds in Arizona. Don't look for protection of your rights as a citizen from this administration, you won't get it.
Waiting for Obama to do his job will bring you to a very bitter old age. That is what I think.
