Dried fruits,porridge(oatmeal),brown/wholemeal bread,beans and lentils are great sources of fiber and reduce cholesterol.
Avoid processed foods such as canned items,red processed meat(ham) and generally red meat(pork,beef,lamb),butter,lard and full-fat dairy products.
Introduce olive oil,nuts,seeds,avocado and oily fish such as mackerel,sardines,salmon,trout because these are the sources of polyunsatured fats(increase high-density lipoproteins and lower "bad" cholesterol").
