My dietician suprised me when she told me that I should include chocolate that was 70% Cocoa or higher in my diet. It is generally low in sugar and high in healthy antioxidants. Lindt 85% Cocoa bar comes in at 8g of carbs of which 5g are sugar and that is for 4 large squares! It also contains 18g of total fat of which 11g are saturated and 0g are Trans Fat. My dietician said that the small amounts of sugar are much more healthy combined with the good antioxidants than sugar free chocolates. I've found that Lindt and Ghirardelli are my two favorite brands and they are reasonably priced too, though not as cheap as Hershey bars. Just be careful when you use the 70% standard as a few companies compensate for the slightly bitter taste by upping the amount of sugar they put in the bar. I have seen amounts as high as 25g per serving in a few bars. 70% chocolate and higher takes a little getting used to, but after a while it tastes really good. On the rare ocassion that I taste any regular chocolate these days it tastes really, really sweet. You can find Lindt and Ghirardelli Bars at most stores. Target usually has really good prices.
