Now that Yahoo has the patent for human enhanced search engine, what happens to mahalo? They pay? Change the lingo up to read differently?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

As far as I have seen Mahalo has used the description "Mahalo is a human powered search engine" to describe itself as we can see in How Mahalo Works
I have not seen any description of Mahalo as "A human enhanced search engine" as Yahoo has just been awarded the patent for.

In my non-professional understanding of the law the difference between "human powered" and "human enhanced" will be enough to differentiate the two search engines and have no infringement issues.
