That's how it works. You are tired, for the first month. @mrsjason the most tired :)
after that, it's all fun and games and it's the biggest hugest blessing in your life. After 6 months, you can't take your eyes off them, they're so beautiful. Whether your tired or not. Then they get the cute clothes, and start modeling.
You think you know love? No way.. not until you have a baby. It's the most rewarding, unconditional love you will ever feel in your entire life. And that makes most people the best parents in the world, to see that love and that need and address that need no matter what it is. Ahh... I remember those days <3

Personally, I've found that being a father helped me become a less self-centered person, and a more understanding member of my community.
Don't forget to offer your own opinions, Dr. Matt. After all, you are more of an expert than most of us. And, this ISN'T "a session" where you just ASK the questions!!! ;-)

One morning about 11 or 12 years from now, you are going to look into her beautiful face and think "Who the hell are you - and what have you done with my loving daughter?"
For the next ten to 10 to 12 years, you are going to be the scourge of her life, and vice versa. She will tell you many times how stupid you are and how much she hates you. Do not give up. At around age 22 to 25 your real daughter will walk in the door with a smile on her face and tell you how much she loves you. Your heart will melt and all those hard years will dissapear.
