Now that it's been 'in the wild' for a week or so, what do you think of the new Facebook layout?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I love the new Facebook lay-out! I can now view almost all of my friends activities. I am such an information junkie and I am used to the Twitter streams so I like it.

The quizzes streams are tolerable for me but there are a few apps that I can't stand. If you don't want to be bothered by such apps you may use a simple script via greasemonkey to avoid them.

Like all things, people do not like change. I like the new layout and the more twitter like look. What I do not like is the Apps have been given a back seat. Updates from apps are harder to find now.

I might be in the minority but I like the new layout.

I go to Facebook just to see my friends pictures. I don`t upload or use it to comment stuff. So new layout, old layout... it´s all borring.

You mean the Twitter knock-off look? I'm not fond of it, but it may eventually grow on me.

twitter killed facebook for me. i go on once a week.

that said, I thankfully was OCD about organizing my friends into groups a while ago, and it totally paid off with the new layout.

to be fair, it's mainly because i don't socialize as much as I used to. Right now, my main tie to facebook is the fact that you can easily organize events, such as ones with people I will be going to college with next year. But I get messages sent to my phone on a daily basis, so i'm kept up to date with everything without actually visiting Facebook. I don't think I would ever leave Facebook, its a very useful tool. Twitter has a lot of problems if you are trying to find people you might know. Twitter isn't a full social network, its more like a close-knit web of the people you are closest too. Facebook still has a place.

As I said, thank god I organized my friends into groups. I think the current homepage really takes advantage of it, and the people that never organized their friends really got the short end of the stick on this update.

"twitter killed facebook for me. i go on once a week."

This is exactly what Zucks is afraid of. And people have the gall to criticize him for being "obsessed" with such a comparatively smaller site. He has every reason to fixate on it.

It's somewhat annoying, and even Facebook employees allegedly want it dumped.

I use facebook so rarely, I didn't even know what changes were made, was it just the rounded corners on everybodies picture?

I've checked it out, it's not enough change to get my blood to boil, what is facebook to me? a rolodex of all my old computer illiterate friends, that's about it :)
