Now that iPhone OS 4.0 will come out what will you do with your iPhone this summer?

So now that the new iPhone OS is coming out this summer and being that some of the features will not work on the iPhone 3G, I am curious to see what people are planning on doing. If you own a 3G, are you going to get a new one? Will you get the 3GS or whatever the newest iPhone that will come out this summer? If you are a 3GS owner, will you upgrade to the newest iPhone or just get the new OS?

3GS owner here. I think I'll be able to buy the new iPhone that'll probably be announced at WWDC this year. I have high hopes for it, Apple's A4 chip, front facing camera, higher quality rear camera, better battery life, etc.

As for the software that was announced yesterday, I don't think it'll really affect me that much. I'm a big fan of jailbreaking and while I already have most of the features announced, I'm not that excited. I'm only excited to see what devs can come up with.

first to update to the version of os 4.0, and then download the software that suite for this new version. such as the new video converter and the new security.

Hi there! I had a 3G for over a year with pages of apps and some other cool jailbreak stuff, I then watched the keynote of the iPhone os 4.0 and found that they aren't including alot of the main features of 4.0 with the iPhone 3G, this was the last reason for me to upgrade and somehow managed to squirm out of my simplicity contract early and upgrade to the 3GS contract (I had iPhone 3G on payg) just gotta sell my 3G now! But I think now that upgrading for the speed and camera and the inclusion of all the cool features of OS 4.0, I think the upgrade was more than worth it! Compared to the 3g the 3gs is a true beast!
