Now that I'm consuming Coke Zero, does anyone know if Aspartame is bad for you?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Apparently, the answer is "No." The MSNBC article I just referenced mentions research (recent, even) about aspartame - and the conclusion that this artificial sweetener does not, as far as we know, cause cancer, Alzheimer's, et cetera.
However, if you have a rare genetic condition called phenylketonuria, aspartame isn't good for you. Other than that, it appears that aspartame is all right to use as a sugar substitute.
