No one is making any comments about the N82. Anyone with hands on experience?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

N82 is a pretty good phone, although many people think it is the successor of N73, but under the hood it actually resemble the N95, but comes in canday bar shape instead of slider.

N82's outlook is very outstanding, thanks to the metal fascia. The downside may be the tiny keypad, though well spaced-out, my big thumb feel searching the right key constantly. Another thing is the pretty cramped soft keys / menu / C / short cut key layout, my big thumb still prefer it comes in separate piece instead on one piece.

The screen size is smaller in 2.4 inch (2.6 inch in N95) , the screen resolution remain sharp, colour still vivid.

Feature wise, it's well packed like a small PC, with HSPDA (high speed 3G connection), A-GPS (fast satellite lock-on) & Wifi, you have every connection you needed. It also comes with a orientation sensor so that it will automatically switch the screen display between potrait and lanscape mode.

What i like about N82 is the 5MP camera with Xenon Flash, which is pretty rare in Nokia phones. Xenon Flash produce uch stronger light compared to LED, you should can shoot better picture in the dark. The Carl Zeiss lens comes with a lens cover which is a good sign, give extra protection and the shooter will be on when you open the lens cover.

N82 is also one of the early Nokia phones that switch to MicroUSB port connection, which is pretty uncommon compare to previous Mini USB.

N82 is a pretty good all-rounder with solid performance, no-nonsense, feature-packed phone, very easy to use; anyway i made my choice over 5800XM over N82, simply because of the keypad, and would like to try on a touch screen phone. So if you have no problem with the keypad, i'm sure you will be happy with N82! Cheers!
