No more answers possible when a best answer is chosen?
Just surfing through this site I found several questions where it would have been of help to add another information without caring if or if not this is chosen the best answer, but I will not just pick anybody elses answer and reply to it just to add my point.
Conclusion: Mahalo is missing out on answers people could give (think updates or additional relevant information).
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$But once they improve the search on Answers there is a good chance people will start looking for an answer to their question before asking. Having the option to give extra information after the 'best' has been picked would give those in the future even more information to consider!
Then separate them - answers before chosen and after chosen or something like it. Just making it about the one person asking a question and getting the answer means a very self centered system, not encouraging linking or spreading of informationen.
Btw . as a normal user I am encourages by the system to choose a best answer which I can do after a small amount of time if I already have some 'okay answers'. I will never see the possible other answers because without knowing it, I will remove the possibility to answer a question.
How is that about getting the best answer, especially when you consider something like timezones? :)
