How do I make Lego Batman for the Wii multiplayer. I cannot find a part in the video game that allows me to connect a second controller

There is a place on the top right hand corner once the game begins that asks you to press "plus" sign on controller to play other heros however when pressed nothing happens. Only one controller seems to be connected

According to the Lego Batman expert in our household (my son), all you do, when you are playing a level, it hit the plus button (like you said).

Of course, you can only do this in Free Play. Free Play is unlocked once you've completed the level in Story Mode.

If that isn't working... make sure the second Wii-mote has good/fresh batteries and is sync'd to the Wii.
