No you cannot. Though the Wii is technically capable of playing music files Nintendo hasn't yet to establish this service for the Wii.
However, if you're quite clever you can play music from an SD card by using the Slideshow function when viewing photos on your Wii. This is how: Begin a slide show, then click the Slideshow button at the bottom right of the screen. You will have 3 choices in the middle of the screen. The selection for Music is at the bottom. Select: Change Song and you will see a list of Wii music as well as music you have on your SD card. Choose the song you want to listen to. The downside is you will either have to be watching a Slide show or in the settings window.

Can you upload songs to your Wii? If so, how?
Guitar Hero World Tour displays an option to archive songs from your "Wii" or SD card for in-game play. I do not have an SD Card and I wondered if there was any way to upload straight to the "Wii"?
