There are some rumors to Codemasters bringing a newer and better version of Dance Factory to the Wii. Dance Factory was originally made for the PS2 and famous for its abilities to "Dance to your own CDs." Despite the seemingly awesome idea, this game came with bad reviews uncommon to previous Dance games. Players and critics penned this game as too randomized to enjoy your own music with forced dancing. I played it and didnt find it too bad, as I am not one for dancing games in the first place. This one in particular, I would agree with the reviews to where it would be better just to "buy a DDR..." or "Just pop in your music cds and dance how you please without wasting money on the game" (paraphrasing). My best recommendation is to try Codemaster's previous effort on its Dance Factory franchise before getting stoked for a new release, it could save you the money and time.
There is also, if you havent heard of it, Boogie for the Wii. This is a dance game, that has the ability to make your own personalized music videos. The reviews are decent when compared to the dance gaming genre, so it is worth a rent (if you haven't played it already).

Are there any dance mat games for the Wii where you can use your own music (CDs, MP3s on SD card, etc.)?
It looks like Codemasters were planning on porting Dance Factory at some stage but I can't find any details now...
