Ninja vs Pirate. What looks better on a resume?

In this tough job market, which career path has more oportunities for development?

What job skills look attractive to an employer?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It sort of depends on the job, but really a ninja is going to win simply due to the dicipline aspect of it.

I mean, after working hard in the office all day, you probably won't see a ninja heading to the pub for wenches and a handle of rum, then coming in late to work the next day all hung over... (Still, the wenches and handle of rum DO have their appeal).

Strictly speaking on a resume scale, the ninja would STILL look better as pirates can't seem to hold a steady job for very long and seem to go from Captain to Captain, have a knack for "aquiring" things and again, with the wenches and rum...

Still, a pirate may look great on a resume:

+Well traveled
+Enthusiastic go-getter
+Enjoys "aggressive negotiations"
+Extensive knowledge of the 7 seas and 4 corners of the Earth
+Not easily surprised
+Skilled at Aquiring...things.

Now, a Ninja's may look like this:

+Well read and trained extensively in a myriad of artforms
+Works well under pressure - or cover of darkness
+Will give his life to complete the job
+Can easily surprise others
+Not afraid to take care of any...um..."problems" that may come up for the Company...;)

I vote Ninja - quick, clever, covert, sneaky in sabotage/infiltration. Pirates tend to be out-there aggressive to destroy or take home the bounty. I don't think that works in today's market. xD

in this day and age you would think that a boss would expect you to perform the duties of both the pirate and the ninja... for the same salary of course. This hybrid pinja obviously is superior in every way. Stealth for sneaking up on the target, the ability to steal everything from him in a terrifying way, and the loyalty of both to the employer.

A pirate a ninja doesn't make money. Companies are in business to make money. Pirates steal and bring back the loot.

The Pirate gets the nod for bringing the booty. I can understand that.
