Why was Eunice Kennedy hospitalized?

Today it was announced that Eunice Kennedy Shriver, wife of Robert Sargent Shriver Jr. and sister of John F. Kennedy, was hospitalized and is in "critical condition." Some reports said that Eunice Kennedy was dead or on death's door. Does anyone know why she is in hospital and what the details of her condition are?

Eunice Kennedy, a well known person for the disabled, was in a critical condition at the Massachusetts hospital on Friday. It has been reported that she was suffering from a series of strokes in the recent years.

"Eunice Kennedy Shriver is in Cape Cod Hospital in intensive care in critical but stable condition", states the Shriver family. :-)

Joe Kennedy Sr. wanted to "fix" her. So he had her lobotomized.

Eunice Kennedy broke her hip . The accident happen when she fell in her office of her Potomac home.She is 88 years old. She is in critical condition in the MA hospital....my prayers are with her.

Shriver has been weakened in recent years by a series of strokes. She lives in Hyannis Port, near the family compound where her brother, U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, has been staying as he undergoes treatment for brain cancer.
