He sounds like a dead beat dad who ran into money troubles and couldn't think of another way out. Apparently, on top of back child support payments, he also owed thousands in credit debts and car payments. He had also filed for bankruptcy. His "death" allowed him to get out of paying his debts plus allowed his son to claim his $151,000 insurance policy. He was actually worth more dead than alive. And you're right bernices, it is a bad message to send his son.
