John Stewart.

John has, in one way or the other, been reporting the news since 1999 when he took over for Craig Kilborn at Comedy Central hosting The Daily Show.

He might be TV's funniest newsman right now but I think he is ready to move a notch towards the more serious and start reporting the news as a true television journalist as a replacement for Lou Dobbs

He is college educated (College of William and Mary Williamsburg, VA) with a BS in psychology. He has taken on the American journalists in their own arenas (Crossfire(1), The O'Reilly Factor(2)) and taken the American television watching public and made them think and laugh.

Hosting the David Letterman Show would be a step backward or at least laterally for John Stewart. He should be on CNN where he would be stepping forward into the right direction, where America wants and needs him to go.

John Stewart is my kind of television journalist. He is smart, courageous, insightful and intelligently witty more so than some other television journalists I know.

~~~ He is worthy of the job.
