Etan Patz's photo as a missing child was the first to appear on a milk carton. He was 6 at the time of her disappearance while walking to a school bus stop. After 30 years, he hasn't been found.

Etan's disappearance was the key event that inspired the awareness of child abductions. This in turn led to new ways to search for missing children (the milk carton campaigns).
