Hi! Thanks for your question/comment. I am on Mahalo's news team. It used to be that the tab was "Top News," this changed about a month or so ago. It has been changed to "Top Stories." We now feature news, sports, celebrity gossip, crime, politics, etc... in what used to be the "top news" section. We try to have a balance of the biggest stories each day in this section and we change them during the day.
I too miss having the tab devoted to the 'hard' news stories of the day, but like Darcy said, I'm sure there is logic behind it. :)

Is it me or has there been more "Celebrity" news being listed in "Top News" on Mahalo.com recently?
There already is a "Celebrity" tab so why place it in the "Top News" tab? I don't think a slow news day should count. There are things happening all over the world that could also be listed in "Top News". So much we (in the U.S.) don't hear of regularly. By placing more world news you could also increase Mahalo users. "there's a whole world out there for the taking"

Ok then, if there is a mix of stories for the 'top stories' tab, then wouldn't it come to reason that hard NEWS should also continue to have a tab like "Celebrity" and "Sports" continue to have?.
