Don't think so.
I read the article you point to, and another one - linked bellow - and couldn't find much of substance there, anything that would suggest this is a serious threat. Couldn't find any other source that gives credit to it, neither.
The White House is cautious as one would expect them to be, but certainly not alarmed:
"State Department spokesman Gordon Duguid said he had not seen any reports of Mehsud’s comments but that he would take the threat under consideration."
