Are honor killings like Ratan Mandal, getting more news coverage or just increasing?

Personally, I think they've been happening all along, but we've become much more aware of what's going on outside our own countries.

The numbers have to be much higher than these, as numerous amounts of these killings go unreported. Very sad.
