Did the yankees deserve to win the world series?

Did the yankees really deserve to win after receiving a new stadium and the highest payroll, or were the returning champs more deserving. I also read a great article over at: http://www.cooperspick.com that detailed the latest game.

The Yankees had the best talent and deserved to win the Series. I am saying this as a die hard Phillies fan since 1977 too. I love my team but they were outplayed. I believe that Yankees team is the only team who could have beaten the Phillies in the World Series. Being that they have the highest payroll, they should probably win every year. After all the best talent will go to where they get the most money, in general. Having said that, I can't stand the team, but they are a great talent.

Don't matter who deserves to win in sports. The winner wins, the loser does not. That is why I like sports.
