Many are closed to observe the Jewish Sabbath, but there are a few that are open. If any are open, they'd be open on Saturday, but not Sunday. Your best bet would be to go during the week. If you're shopping for a diamond, I would say that the weekend would be the least recommended day. Go there on a Monday, and you'll see them all open. If you're in NYC to buy a diamond ring, I would do your research before going to the stores.

Is the diamond district in NYC open on Saturday?
Has anybody been down to the diamond district on Saturday? I'm wondering how many stores are open, and how many are closed due to the Sabbath.
