I think that the lessons are pretty comprehensive. I can't think of a topic that should be added.
I do have a couple of ideas here:
1)
I think that video would be invaluable here. Whether it be a short "Lil' Jeffy Hord" video clip (or whoever) complimenting the written points with spoken word or screencast type demos showing new recruits what to do where (again with a voiceover), people will really get the message if Mahalo's massive video power and knowledge is put to use.
I'm not thinking a "sitepal" type of thing, but rather an honest Mahalo Answers guide who can give some friendly advice to compliment and maybe expand on the written text.
2)
Is the system smart enough to pass the correct "lesson" when presented alongside actionable content points?
For example, when a new user is viewing the points charts, can the system pass "page 8, what are the belt levels" into the lesson widget?
If it can, this will mean that relevant content is being presented to the user at the best time. This is the goal of any LMS.
3)
Jason, would this question be a good one to ask with the automated question asker system? While I'm sure that "question asker system" is not the official class name, there is an automated system where an admin user can automatically ask a user a question when a certain point threshold is reached. Maybe shortly after Yellow Belt, the user could be asked if they have any questions about the system?
These questions could be automatically logged (tally for insertion into the lesson system) and answered by a staff or community member.
The system will (presumably) continue to change and evolve. Putting this automated question jobbie in place would ensure that relevant lessons are displayed.
Anyway, just some ideas.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to observe what features each member of the community is using, then at some point (belt levels?) do a tutorial or survey on aspects of the community they are not using so much - for me, this would be "links added". On the tutorial level, maybe the user isn't aware that aspect is available or how to use it, and the tutorial would get them to consider the other areas. On the survey level, maybe Mahalo could learn something about why people don't use that part, or what keeps people from participating.
A simpler implementation would be providing a tutorial at each belt level on each means of contributing to the community, exposing everyone equally, maybe with an opportunity to comment on that activity.
I hope that was clear - I'm feeling a little stupid this morning (it'll pass...more caffeine.)

Where you can see the Mahalo Answers tutorial (for those who can't see it on the main page).
We decided to make the Mahalo Answers tutorial only for folks below yellow belt or not logged in. I think we need to make this open to everyone to see.
Even if you're yellow belt or better and still want to see it, visit the help page:
http://www.mahalo.com/answers/help
Any suggestions for other lessons we should post?

I like that the tutorial is available to all. I even used it this morning to answer someone's question. Links Added is a mystery to me as well. I suggested a couple of links for SERPs that I visited, but nothing much happened, and I'm not sure what was supposed to happen!

I like that you have posted the tutorial for all users, but I still consider it to be more of an FAQ than a real tutorial since it really just tells you about the site rather than show you how to use its advanced features. You should post tutorials on how to do everything the site has to offer, especially on some of the more hidden features that a user might not see. I think that posting those tutorials would be beneficial to all users. I am probably not using the site to its fullest potential and there are probably features that I don't even know exist.
