My guess is within six months. Here I got a puzzle. Everybody will be giving a guess unless some developer answers the question. So how are you going to select the best answer :). Any suggestion would be helpful for me.

What is your guess for when Mahalo will showcase a database for their questions archive?
Ok, the idea here is, that you try to guess before a Mahalo employee intervenes, or if there is no certain answer, I'll pick the answer closest to my guess as best answer. If the answer is rotten, I'll pick no best answer.

• Yeah, 6 months is closest to my guess, which is 4 months. I was about to pick Easyeboys answer as best, since you "changed" yours. But then, it occurred to me that it doesn't matter what you say. It was the answer you already had that counts. As for it, "already existing." I don't see it. There's no where on the site I can type in any question that has already been asked, and the link for it resulting. That Mahalo home page search engine isn't it. No big deal though. I was just wondering, and apparently the site's a little different on my computer, or whatever, I guess. My regards.

Well, yeah. Then, anyone can find an answer to a question they want to know, if it already exists. Actually, what I feel would be awesome, would be to charge a small amount based on the average tip rate, depending how close a preexisting question is to a searched question, and charge by the keyword match-up accuracy % X median tip amount.

@pensivefox I interpreted it a little differently. Anyway my answer remains the same :)
Edit: I change my answer to already present. For perfection I will give the above answer 'within six months'

I mean, find a question that has already been asked, even if you have to type in the exact words of the question. I 've tried searching for several past questions in your Mahalo database, and no questions came up.

I searched for the questions that has been already been asked, for example 'why is the sky blue' -- the result should be eight, but there is only five. But for many question I find the answer. Just wanted to ask ' do you scroll down to answers' in the scroll down bar that is present in between search field and search button.

I would try the search again... I know we had some problems with the database recently.

I haven't found the search very effective, even for finding things that I've seen before and want to find again. Like some of my own past answers! :)

Hi @pensivefox,
There was a brief search bug wherein the questions from twitter were not being added (which I just fixed), but if the questions you are referring to are outside of that domain could you please expand upon the 'several past questions in your Mahalo database' which did not get returned?
