Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
Quick announcement: Testing the M$ 1 dollar tips
We have bumped the auto tip amount back down to M$ 1 and also have re-enabled the .25 tips, just wanted to let everyone know.

1. Folks are not here for the money. It's nice, but the top folks are here because it's a fun place to hang out.
2. The M$1 does increase participation slightly.
3. M$2 does not increase participation significantly (or at all).
Taking that all in we figure the following:
a) It's better to have 2x as many questions getting M$1 each (say 500 questions a day) vs. 250 getting M$2.
b) It's better to leave at least .25 on a question rather than zero (just feels like people should get SOMETHING for their effort)
c) It's really easy to manage the system if we don't have to worry about the auto-tipping. At M$2 there is a lot of money on the line (i.e. M$1,000 a day when we hit 500 questions a day), so it's better to keep it at M$1 and not worry if a couple of easy questions slip by.
d) Since we only have 250 questions a day right now it's easy for the 2-3 community manager to scan them and see if they should be bumped to .25.
